Aether Defense: Cosmic Ward is a space tower defense game where you build a defensive line against alien invaders. Strategically place 9 types of towers and survive 25 waves.

How do I place towers?

Select a tower from the left panel, then click an empty space on the map (not on the path). You need enough Aether to build.

How do I earn Aether?

You earn Aether by defeating enemies. Clearing a sector also grants a bonus of 150 Aether.

Every 5 waves, a dimensional shift moves you to a new map (sector). There are 5 rotating sectors, and your placed towers carry over between them.

Can I upgrade or sell towers?

Click a placed tower to reveal upgrade and sell buttons in the left panel. Upgrades go up to level 5, and selling returns a portion of the build cost.

What is an EMP Disruptor?

The EMP Disruptor is a special enemy that temporarily disables towers in its range. Eliminate it quickly or spread your towers to minimize the impact.

Can I adjust game speed?

Use the 1X / 2X / 4X buttons in the top-right of the canvas to change speed. Enable Auto Wave to start waves automatically.

What tower combinations work best?

Clustering enemies with the Gravity Singularity then hitting them with the Orbital Striker is highly effective. Adding Frost Nova to slow them down before a Laser Prism further amplifies the combo.

Where is the best score saved?

Your best score is saved in your device's local storage. It persists unless you clear your browser data.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, it is optimized for portrait mobile. Tap the tower select button at the bottom to open the drawer, choose a tower, then tap the map to place it.

How to Play Aether Defense

Select a Tower
Choose a tower from the left panel. Each tower has unique attack range, damage, and cost — pick the right one for the situation.

Place on the Map
Tap an empty area on the map away from the enemy path. A green circle means the placement is valid; yellow means you need more Aether.

Send the First Wave
Press the SEND WAVE button to launch the first enemy wave. After that, waves proceed automatically so you can focus on building.

Upgrade & Sell
Tap a placed tower to upgrade it (up to level 5) for stronger performance, or sell it to recover Aether for repositioning.

Survive Sector Shifts
Every 5 waves, a dimensional shift warps you to a new map. Your towers carry over — plan ahead and press SEND WAVE to continue.
